Our 'Travel Tales' . . . March 16, 2009 . . .

The other folks headed for home today and Eb and I stayed on here at Hidden Harbor since it is so peaceful and beautiful. Lots of waterfowl and we moved Gypsy so she faces the river and we can see what is going on in all directions!

I just love the big sycamore trees here.

This one has a face that makes me smile!

And this one!

Yesterday a great blue heron landed just across the bank from us. Hadn't seen one of those in years. A couple of mergansers hang around in the harbor inlet also.

Sort of expected to see a lot more spring colours on this trip as it doesn't get as cold as at home.

These are the first sign of colour I have seen. Tomorrow we will head on down old 99, past Chico, on our way to Paradise to visit friends there. Glee tells me the ridge is abloom in daffodils . . . hope so!

While out looking for interesting photos today I saw one of the turtles that Jeanie had seen basking on a stump yesterday. This was the only photo I could get. Each time I walked closer, it would head for the water!

Looks like Mr. Turtle has seen me again
and is about ready to go for a swim!

I was hoping for a colourful sunset tonight, but the clouds obscured it. It was still a beautiful sight.

More later,

Che'usa
