Located in historic Etna, Hughes House offers clean, quiet, and very
comfortable surroundings just a short stroll from downtown. Come relax
with us in this serene rural community.
The Main House
The Main House was built in the early 1950's on a sleepy Etna street "beyond the sidewalks." Purchased in 1977 by the Hughes family, it was the completely remodeled and a large wing was added.
The Hughes children have now left the nest, leaving their wing of
the house unused. After redecorating from floors to ceilings with many
charming touches in between, Hughes House was ready to receive its
first guests. All rooms have that county-comfort feeling with cheerful
white shutters and new beds. The bathrooms are located off the adjacent
hallway.
You
can take in the great outdoors from the comfort of our gazebo.
Tim's
Room ... our son's large room, now delightfully decorated in
a hearts and flowers motif, has twin beds and a lovely antique cherry dresser.

Trudi's
Room ... An old-fashioned quilt and antique oak dresser
set the homey and comfortable mood.
Tami's
Room ... Shared by all guests, Tami's room has been converted
into a pleasant sitting area which includes a "kitchen corner" with a small
refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. There is plenty of space to
relax while watching cable television. Others may prefer curling up on
the comfy sofa or in the rocking chair with a good book. A plentiful continental
breakfast is served in the sitting room or, weather permitting, on the
large deck accessed through the glass doors. Views of the nearby Scott,
Salmon, and Trinity mountains can be enjoyed from the house and deck in
all seasons.
The Holiday House
The Holiday House is a three bedroom, two bath, furnished home adjacent to the main house. After a complete remodeling, the Holiday House is now immaculate. Attractively furnished, it is the perfect "home base" for a family vacation. Sleeping accommodations include king, queen, and twin beds. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and back-yard bar-b-que, encouraging guests to prepare meals at their leisure.
Other amenities include a wood stove, color cable television, VCR,
washer and drier, and all linens. Food and clothing are all you need to
bring! There is a two-night minimum stay; weekly and monthly rates are
available. Weekly housekeeping is offered for guests of the Holiday House.
