WIN A FREE PACK TRIP FOR 4 PEOPLE!!
The Fort Jones Lions Club is offering an exciting raffle this year for our fundraiser to support youth activities in Scott Valley. This fundraiser is sure to make any outdoors person very excited. We are sponsoring a raffle where the winner and 3 of his / her friends will be able to go on a 5 day pack trip into the Sky High Valley of the Marble Mountain Wilderness area. We will provide the winner the first night arrival lodging in a local Bed & Breakfast, and will then meet them at the trail head to prepare for departure to Sky High Lake via horseback. The stock and packing will be provided by S & E Outfitters, who are licensed to operate in this area. All meals, tents, cots, cooking, cleanup, setup / takedown, and a 2 man rubber raft (for fishing Sky High Lake) are provided in the raffle. The raffle winner will be responsible for transportation to / from their home, to / from the trail head, and personal items along with a sleeping bag / pad. While in camp, no livestock will be provided for use. However, all trails are well marked and if a person wants to do day hikes, there are several lakes stocked with trout along the Marble Rim and Marble Valley.
