Best,  Worst, or _____est Birthday

The Fort Jones and Etna Libraries will celebrate National Library Week in 2008 with the Best,  Worst, or _____est Birthday Writing Contest. The object is to tell a story about a best, worst, or superlative-of-your-choice birthday, fact or fiction. We can't wait to hear your story. Let's Party

All authors are invited to read or present their work at the Fort Jones Library Open House tentatively scheduled on Wednesday of National Library Week on April 16. Please call to confirm. We are considering changing our traditional reading schedule: 6th grade and younger would begin at 5 pm; Jr High and older would begin at 5:45. First Place winners will be contacted and awarded prizes at the Open House.

RULES:
  • Attend to the theme.
  • 3 page maximum, no minimum. 5 page double spaced is acceptable.
  • Original work only (young children may dictate to a parent or friend).
  • Must be received by 5pm at the Fort Jones Library or Etna Library Wednesday March 19th.
    If for some reason we are not open, you may use the book drop or contact us make other arrangements.
  • The following information must be attached.

   Be sure to circle NO if you do not want your story included in the contest anthology.
