The Mission of Fairchild Medical
Center Foundation
We are committed to assisting Fairchild Medical Center
in providing full service, technologically advanced medical
care to everyone in our community.
Continuing this mission requires the help and support
of many people.
In 2005, the Foundation donated $26,500 to FMC for a
Gamma Probe System for the Surgery Department.
The most powerful predictor of survival in women with breast
cancer is the status of the axillary lymph nodes. Radioactive
tracers indicate the most likely lymph nodes involved with
the tumor, thus limiting the extent of axillary lymph node
dissection and its attendant possible complications. The
addition of this equipment enables us to perform this procedure
at Fairchild Medical Center.
In 2006 the Foundation donated $40,000 for a BioZ ICG
Diagnostic Imaging Machine.
The ICG test is a completely noninvasive test that can be
performed to provide your physician information about your
heart’ s ability to deliver blood to the rest of your body,
and the amount of fluid in your chest. Because the ICG test
is noninvasive, it can be performed anywhere in the hospital,
making it a vital piece of equipment for patient care. This
is all made possible by the generosity of people just like
you.

the purchase of this very important piece of equipment for
Fairchild Medical Center, with the balance coming from the
Annual Giving Program.

As our community
grows, Fairchild Medical Center is working very hard
to meet the many health care needs of our citizens.
As you plan your charitable gifts, we ask that you continue
your generosity and consider us in your plans. Your
tax-deductible donation will help continue our mission
to provide top quality medical care to all.
