My name is Rusty Coleman. I have lived in the Scott Valley/Salmon River area for 40 years, with the exception of College and 3 years in the Military.
In the early 80's to early 90's I was part of a search and rescue team in Scott Valley, which I helped to start. In 1981 I began a ten year training experience with this group in outdoor survival skills, first aid, and rescue techniques, mentored by an instructor from the College of The Siskiyou's.
I've owned my own business for 30 years, which includes the rustic Outback BBQ in historic Etna. Living in the area has allowed me to enjoy hiking, biking, camping, which I would like to share with you.
