ABOUT GICLEE PRINTING Giclee Prints are museum quality prints on all kinds of media such as canvas, Arches watercolor paper, Photobase glossy or matte paper and Clearfilm transwhite. Giclee is a French word and means the spraying of paint. It is a term used today to refer to a unique printing technology employing an 8-color, 1800dpi (dots/inch) printing process and a state of the art computer system, permitting the production of consistent and affordable prints in museum quality. Giclee prints are known to be used by Museums to display works of art, normally kept in the museums basement vaults. A Giclee Print is simply the closest duplication of an original artwork that is humanly, mechanically, or technically possible.
