The Whipple Cattle Co., located just north of Mt. Shasta in Northern California, is owned and operated by Monte & Darbi Whipple. Nestled in the Shasta Valley, at approximately 3000 feet, our Cattle are exposed to temperatures ranging from below zero to above 100 degrees. We start calving about mid February and have yearling bulls available for sale after the 1st of April.
Quality has always been our emphasis and we hope to continue to produce thick, moderate framed cattle that get the job done for all types of cattlemen. To accomplish this we started with a select group of proven cows out of the Marcy Cattle Co. herd in Nebraska. We've complemented them with some powerful A.I. sires to produce a solid herd of good milking and structurally correct cows.
We currently market bulls at the Shasta Bull Sale in Anderson, CA and the Klamath Falls Range Ready Bull Sale in Klamath Falls, OR. We also sell bulls and heifers off the ranch year-round.
