I was born in Ripon, Wisconsin and given the name Suzanne Somodi.  My parents are Andrew Robert Somodi and Rosie Molnar.

I am the oldest of their four children.  My sister and brothers are Andrea, Andrew Robert Jr., and Steven George.

In 1969, I married Samuel Jimenez and we just celebrated our 30th anniversary.

We have four children,
Mario Silvas (27), Marirose  (25), Michael Anthony (15),   and Samuel Jr. (29).
Sam and I have one grandchild, Audrey Suzanne Jimenez.  In March 1999, she turned 3 years old.  Audrey is the daughter of our son Mario.

In January, 1997, with the blessings and support of my hubby and kids, I decided to try and go back to school.  Currently, I am a sophmore at College of the Siskiyous in Weed, California.  My goals are to attempt a double major in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology.  In May of this year, I will receive my Associate of Arts degree and then after taking a small break so I can get caught up on a million different things (including my genealogy) which have been put on hold while I attended school full time, I am hoping to transfer to a four year college or university.

Besides spending time with my family, working on genealogy, and going to school, I also enjoy sewing, cooking, cake decorating, gardening, travelling, and meeting and talking with new people (especially newly found family members).  When I have time, which lately is not often, I also like to read and write, although an over-abundance of reading and writing for school homework is making me wonder if I still enjoy it (just kidding).  Last but not least, I have become obsessed with learning everything I can about my computer.  It seems the more I learn and discover, the more I want to know, kind of like genealogy!
