ABOUT FC-AFC-CFC-CAFC Barracuda Blue MH : "Cuda" was whelped on October 2, 1990 and comes from Silver Creek Kennels in Woodland, CA.. Charles Tyson (530)-795-2025 or ABOUT AFC-CFC-CAFC Chugach Hills Jazz's Rascal : Rascal was whelped on January 21, 1990 and comes from Jazztime Labs in Charlo, MT (406)644-2706. Larry and Anna Calvert are amateur trainers and have trained and run Rascal extensively in field trials in the US and Canada. Out of FC, AFC, CFC, CAFC Jazztime MHR and a mother who was a Grand Master Hunting Retriever, Rascal has an impressive list of accomplishments which include:
Rascal's strengths are marking, intelligence, and the tendency to run straight lines on retrieve. He is hard-going and very intense, but has a disposition that makes him bidable at home and in the blind. He is about average size for a field trial lab at 75 lbs. Rascal is hunted each fall, has a good nose, and does a great job quartering on upland hunts. He is a fantastic pheasant dog, and is a natural pointer. Rascal has also proven to be a great producer of high quality pups. His pups are very birdy, outgoing, and athletic in the field, but have an easy-going disposition at home.
ABOUT FC-CFC Sourdough's Slick Nick : Nick was whelped on February 23, 1992 and has been trained by Twin Oaks Kennels (Joe Harp 662-429-6527). Nick is a good looking lab with a medium bodied and medium height, on an 80 pound frame. He is very intelligent, athletic and trainable. He is black and throws both chocolate and yellow pups.
He also carries an impressive pedigree, and both his parents are field champions. But what is most impressive about Nick is his own success in the field trial world where he is a stylish and consistent performer.
Nick has the perfect temperament in that he is laid back around the house, but is ready to go in the field.
ABOUT CUDA'S BLUE RYDER: Ryder was whelped on October 31, 1997, and comes from Silver Creek Kennels in Davis, CA. by Charles Tyson (530)758-4628 or ctyson@dcn.davis.ca.us. Ryder's owner is an amateur trainer and has trained and run Ryder's father FC, AFC, CFC, CAFC Barracuda Blue MN extensively in Field Trials in the US and Canada. Cuda has an impressive list of credentials including:
The only other chocolate lab to win a junior Double Header was Cuda's own son Ryder. For this reason Charles hopes that Ryder may follow in his father's footsteps and is presently training Ryder for the field trial circuit.
Ryder's mother, Higher Ground's Helen Keller, passes on an equally impressive pedigree to her son. She is the pure sister to NFC, AFC Storms Riptide Star who is the only Chocolate Lab ever to earn the title National Field Champion. Plus, of her fourteen immediate ancestors, eight have the title Field Champion and one is a National Field Champion.
Cuda's Blue Ryder
Ryder is 80 pounds of pure retrieving drive, but his outstanding performance and athleticism is well balanced by his wonderful disposition and handsome looks. Ryder has it all (pedigree, FC potential, good looks and a great disposition) and fortunately comes in a chocolate package.
ABOUT GLACIER OF MARBLE MOUNTAIN: Glacier was born October 30, 1998, out of one of the finest breedings that Marble Mountain has done. He is a 70 pound chocolate male with a very athletic body that was made to cover ground effortlessly and very quickly. He is made to move fast.
His parents are FC,AFC Jazztime Rascal (Click here for more info on Rascal) and Marble Mountain Juneau (Click here for more info on Juneau). Both of the parents are exceptional hunting dogs with great dispositions. They are also both natural pointers and it was our hope that Glacier would carry the pointing trait, but as of yet I have not seen him point.
As far as disposition--he is the most polite dog I have ever trained. His soft personality has made him a joy to train, and you can see his intense desire to please in every session you work with him. Glacier is a strong marker, loves water, and has a willingness to work hard to please the hunter and produce birds.
Cuda is 75 pounds of pure retrieving drive, but his outstanding performance and athleticism is well balanced by his wonderful disposition, which has made him a welcome member of the Tyson home, being raised with children and other animals. For a lab, Cuda has it all and fortunately comes in a chocolate package.
