  As we get this issue up, we've had a recent gain.

  Chris Inskeep (aka Chris McBroom) married his long-time sweetheart Nicole Klukkert at Kidder Creek Orchard Camp in June.  It was a beautiful afternoon and the many family and friends were looking good.  Marge George was there and as we hugged we both commented that it was good to see each other on a happy occasion.  Ann was simply beautiful and Andy was in a tux!  Forrest Buchin wasn't lookin all that bad as one of                   Byron, Andy, Ann, Marge and Chris

  But we lost two powerful men within two days of each other.  Hoss Bennett  and Willis Conrad passed away at the end of June taking the river communities by surprise.  We had know for awhile that Willis was about to leave us and we've sort of always been ready for Hoss to check out, but knowing it's going to happen and then having to deal with the realities are very, very different.  It doesn't mean we were ready to say good bye.  Two very different men, they both exerted a powerful influence in the lives of many.  See In Memory for stories of these legendary men.

  Check out what a couple of our young guys are doing on the web.  Rush Sturges has a video production company making nationally acclaimed kayaking videos and DVDs.  His latest product, "The New Reign", has just been released to rave reviews in Outside Magazine and enthusiastic viewers a white water events across America.  Rush is currently in Uganda, running the White Nile.  He loves it.  Says it's incredibly beautiful.  To check out his stuff try www.younggunproductions.com
