As
we get this issue up, we've had a recent gain.
Chris Inskeep (aka Chris McBroom) married his long-time
sweetheart Nicole Klukkert at Kidder Creek Orchard Camp in
June. It was a beautiful afternoon and the many family and friends
were looking good. Marge George was there and as we hugged we both
commented that it was good to see each other on a happy occasion. Ann
was simply beautiful and Andy was in a tux! Forrest Buchin wasn't lookin
all that bad as one of
Byron, Andy, Ann, Marge and Chris
Chris' posse.
But we lost two powerful men within two days of
each other. Hoss Bennett and Willis Conrad passed away at the
end of June taking the river communities by surprise. We had know for
awhile that Willis was about to leave us and we've sort of always been
ready for Hoss to check out, but knowing it's going to happen and then
having to deal with the realities are very, very different. It doesn't
mean we were ready to say good bye. Two very different men, they both
exerted a powerful influence in the lives of many. See
In Memory for
stories of these legendary men.
Saying good by to Hoss, before the fire
