The Harper · Howell Gallery has closed!
It is with deepest regret that after two
years of presenting
an eclectic array of contemporary and traditional art,
The Harper · Howell Galley has closed it's doors.
Since owners/curators Dan Way Harper, Naomi Harper,
David Richard Howell and Deborah Howell opened
Harper · Howell Galley in October of 2006, the gallery has
been host to artists of local, regional and international influence
and patronage.
With a guiding philosphy which sought to foster the realization that not
just in metropolitan areas such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and
Chicago can one find meaningful art and fresh innovaton, The Harper ·
Howell Gallery has championed the work of local and regional visual artists,
and hoped to inspire the local community and visitors alike by presenting
masterful contemporary art of exceptional quality.
We at Harper · Howell Gallery would like to thank all the individuals--both
artists and patrons--who contributed their creativity, time and interest
in order to help make fresh art live in Grants Pass. We are proud to know
we have been instrumental in helping art find a way into the homes and lives
of those who were touched by it.
Thank you to the many new friends we have made, amazing artists and visitors
alike whose friendships we hope will endure over time. We want to express
our gratitude to everyone who supported our attempts to delight, inspire
and educate our visitors with affordable contemporary art. Finally, to those
special few who believed enough in the artists and their work to invest in
the art and take it home while others just looked, ate the snacks and expected
that the art would always be there, we extend sincere and heartfelt thanks.
We linger in the satisfaction of knowing that you will be rewarded daily
by the vision of your acquisitions.
Best Wishes,
Dan, Naomi, David and Deborah |
